Hi!
Recently, I tried to install an Ethernet Card into the open PCI slots
of
my friends comp. I was able to install the card pretty easily (done it
a million times before but when I finally booted up my computer I saw
that my monitor didn't turn on. The power button
of the monitor was turned on and the monitor was waiting for a signal
from the computer telling it to turn on (the comp. was also powered
on)

Ive tried it the other two open PCI slots and it still doesnt work.

Any suggestions?

Does the computer/monitor work with the card removed from any PCI
slot? Is the video card still properly seated in the AGP slot (right
above PCI slots if you have it)? Is the Ethernet card brand new or
used?

Yes, the monitor workd fine when the ethernet card is removed from the
PCI slot, it just doesn't get a signal when the card is in the PCI.
The video card is still properly seated and the ethernet card is new.
