Yes, they have two versions of Express Gate for the P5Q boards.
"Express Gate" is installed on the hard disk, "Express Gate SSD" is in
flash. SSD version is on the more expensive models, like P5Q Deluxe.
Of course, since it needs to have that flash storage. BIOS is still
typically a 2 MB chip or something like that, not much chance of
fitting Linux and applications there...
As for the problem, I doubt you can do much to debug it yourself. As I
understand it, Express Gate is virtualized Linux inside some other,
unknown and undocumnented proprietary OS. Take it back, in other
words.
