Fujitsu Pen not "inking"

We have a Fujitsu P1610 tablet running XP Tablet edition (2005) which we
recently reinstalled due to a virus infection (completely cleaned off the PC
and reinstalled on a clean drive)

The tablet seems to run fine but the INK feature of the pen does not work.
We can click on buttons and calibrate the screen OK but none of the ink
features work (cannot draw, write, zippo.)

Is there a driver I need to install or a setting I need to enable to make
this work?

Yes, you'd need to get the necessary drivers from Fujitsu. What do
you see in Device Manager? Are there unknown devices, or devices with
"!" on them?

Steve,

I will look. I didn't notice anything yesterday but I will check again.

I went to Fujitsu's site to download drivers but didn't see ANYTHING about
pen drivers.

Steve,

Nothing in the Devices MMC that is not installed.

Any other thoughts on what would need to be installed for the pen/ink option
to work?

Try manually installing the touchscreen/stylus drivers?
http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/supportsearch.do

It's possible that the driver for the stylus is treating it like a
mouse and not a stylus.

There is no "Touchscreen" or "Pen" driver on the Fujitsu site. They have a
"touchpad" (which is the mouse driver) which is why i'm confused about this.
Is it particular to the manufacturer or is this a native part of XP Tablet
Edition? I'm running into dead ends with this!

What about "touch panel"?

Look in device manager for the

"human interface devices" entry

and the "Wacom Serial Pen HID Tablet"

Mine shows Wacom driver version 1.1.0.0 dated 2004, two files,
hidpen.sys and serial.sys

The OPs Fujitsu has a passive digitizer, so I don't think there would
be a Wacon in it.

Nothing with "touch" in the name except the "touchpanel" driver. No "Pen"
and no "stylus" drivers. There's nothing obvious in the list of drivers on
this site at all. I have downloaded all of the XP drivers and have installed
them and that doesn't seem to have changed anything. Is there a setting in
Windows XP Tablet that enables this feature?
