I recently installed an inexpensive Sound Blaster card into an ATX
Windows 98 SE PC. I can get the Windows OS to play throught the sound
card (the music played at bootup/logon time) and also DVD movies and
games, but not music CD's. Anyone know what the problem might be?

TIA

Patrick

It sounds like you failed to install the necessary CD audio cable from the
drive to the sound card.

I did install the cable though. Maybe it has a loose connection. Thanks.
