Linux Distribution that will allow you to dust off an seldom used laptop
or desktop and discover Linux with an introduction to a very small
Linux OS...

Tis a decent review...

I had an old PC taht I didn't have any use for, so I installed Ubuntu on it.
It works just fine, but I just can't seem to gather up enough interest to
spend much time on it. Yes, it has access to the internet via my home LAN
and even works with printers on the LAN. I have openoffice installed which
would be a replacement for MS Office, at least for my needs, but I already
have MS Office. I have also tried FireFox on both Ubuntu and Windows. I just
don't see enough benefits with Ubuntu, that it gets me to use it. Guess I'm
just getting old and lazy.

The $50-70 Bill Tax is cheaper in terms of effort than learning free
software for most people.

ONLY $50 to $70? Add it up.

XP Home or the most basic version of Vista - street price $90 or so
Microsoft Office Academic Version without Access data base - about $150
Microsoft Office Small Business Edition, again without Access, for the
non-academic types - $300-ish

We're talking around a minimum of $250 to have enough of Bill's software to make
a computer useful... Ben Myers
