I might be mistaken, but most of the time on edu sites replacing the
hostname with www brings you to the main website.

If someone fakes a staff membership of an University that would lower
his/her credibility. You can always call the University to check one's
credentials.

I'm basically interested in one of the covers for my ancient J2240, but
the shipping costs probably are much higher than the covers are worth -
and maybe even more than my whole system...

If you mail me your zip code, I can send you a shipping quote. They
are only a few pounds actually.
