Hi there, I'm about to buy a new HD and they offer me a +- 5400 rpm or
a 7200 rpm. How much better is the 7200's performace over thew 5400? I
mean: would I notice the difference? Some one told me that the 7200
raise their temperature very fast and they start malfunctioning. Is
that true?
Please advice... Thanks

The 7200 is MUCH faster than a 5400 harddrive. You would regret getting a
5400. Also the 7200 is the current standard in harddrives. The 5400 is a
cheap drive.

Hi Pablo,
I run a 7200 rpm drive and have NOT found it to run "hot." Yes, it
does get a tad warmish, though I've never had any troubles whatsoever
with mine.
