Home vs. business PCs: I ask your opinion.

I'd like to have a tip for buying an HP pc.

I'm evaluating essentially to types of machines:
home versus business computers.

I'm thinking about:

-1- HP - HP Pavilion t3740.it
A64x2 4600 1GB 320GB VP
HP Pavilion t3740.it
VISTA PREMIUM
AMD LIVE - A64x2 4600+ 1GB Ram DDR2 667mhz 320GB SATA HDD ATI rx1650se
512mb dedicati DVDRW +/- Dual Layer LightScribeWifi 802.11 b/g Sinto
TV analogico e digitale con telecomando

-2- HP- Business Desktop dx5150
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2GHz - 1GB DDR SDRAM - 160GB - Masterizzatore
DVD (DVD±R/±RW) - Gigabit Ethernet - Windows XP Professional – Micro-
tower

You see that the 2 configurations are quite different, but in Italy
their price is almost the same ( about 850 € )

I'm just trying to figure out if the difference is due to DIFFERENT
LEVELS OF RELIABILITY or what else.

The guaranty duration is longer on the #2 PC and it is more expandable
but all the other characteristics are much more better on PC #1.

Which is your opinion about these 2 machines in particular and on the
two different HP products lines?

I'll use this pc at home for software development and little video
editing.
I don't like MS windows operating systems and usually a use linux
instead.
So, for my specific needs, I think that on PC #2 I'll be able to
install linux just form the beginning while on the other I guess I'll
have to wait some months till all the drivers will be ready, isn't
it????
