Hi...

Anyone know where I can pick up a Service Manual for the HP PhotoSmart
All-in-One Deskjet printer??

Or... does anyone know how to remove the top section (plastic top AND
scanner glass) so I can get to the belts and stuff in the back section and
behind the ink holders?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Steve
I cannot remember exactly but most of this series from HP were very similar in
construction.
There are two screws that hold the back panel on, remove the screws (torque
head I think), ease the panel off and unplug the cables that disappear into the
scanner. You should be able to lift the scanner free, I don't think anything
else is necessary.
Once the scanner is off you can remove the top frame of the printer exposing
the mechanism.
If you need to remove the scanner glass from the scanner you will need to
remove the control panel cover, then operate a small plastic catch in the panel
itself with a small screwdriver and slide the panel out. Remove the screws
holding the glass down and lift the glass off.
Let us know if this worked please.

Thanks Tony... Hopefully it's as simple as you make it sound.

Tried 2-3 months back... and got hung up where the left-side has the
"support arm" to hold the top-unit up to change ink. I couldn't disengage
the arm... kind of looked like it needed to be twisted sideways but I didn't
want to bust it.

Problem is the ribbon cable behind the ink cartridges... can't get to it
without taking the top off.

Thanks for responding!!
