HP 1020 LaserJet cartridge

I just bought a new 1020 and am told by a friend that the cartridge that
comes with the printer is of very limited capacity.
Is this a hoax? I cannot imagine HP being that chinchy.

Otherwise, it installed easily and works great.

If he is saying that the cartridge that comes with the printer has less toner
in it than a replacement cartridge then he is incorrect.
If he is saying that Q2612A cartridge will only print 2000 pages at 5% coverage
then he is correct. 2,000 pages is not unusual for an entry level laser printer
these days.

Thanks Tony, I suspected he was mistaken about the limited capacity.
I certainly realize the small cartridge would have limited output than a
bigger unit. Ted
