Hi everyone,
I have an HP N5310 laptop that is equipped with a TV Out port. I would like to
get this working so I can play DVDs on my TV rather than using the laptop
display.
I have been unsuccessful in getting it to work, so here's what I've done so far:
The TV is a 27" CRT with RCA Audio/Video In ports on the front
The laptop is connected to the TV with a Monster cable (probably overkill, but
oh well).
The BIOS "Video Expansion" option is set to "Enable" and the TV type is set to
NTSC.
The operating system is Windows XP. This laptop used to run Windows ME, which
had a little TV that showed up in the system tray when the laptop was connected
to the TV. Apparently Windows XP doesn't.
In the Display applet of Control Panel, there are supposedly two monitors
available, but only the first one is selectable.
Question: Is Windows XP able to project the display onto a TV with this laptop
model? And am I missing something obvious in trying to get it to work?
Thanks,
Isaac
