HP OfficeJet R40xi

On the back panel of my R40xi are 3 ports - first being for power supply
followed by printer cable port but cannot determine what the last port
is...(female 8-9 pin holes). There's nothing listed in the owners manual
and even contacted HP without any answer. Anyone know? Thanks!
