Hi there, I am in the process of changing the motherboard in an HP
Pavilion 400 PC, but the lead connecting the power led/power
switch/reset switch is not ATX standard. It had an adapter on it, but
that isn't standard either.

Can anyone tell me anything about this lead and how I can get an
adapter to a standard ATX motherboard in the UK?

Cheers,
Andy

Replace the LEDs, reset switch, and on-off switch (and their wire leads) with
individual ones that match the motherboard.

The other choice would be to solder your own connectors onto the HP wiring
harness... Ben Myers

Provide a specific model and you be able to get a diagram of the motherboard and
its front panel connectors. A search of the HP web site for "Pavilion 400"
turns up more than 300 items, a haystack with a needle in it somewhere... Ben

Thanks, I'll get hold of some standard connectors and solder then onto
the existing leads.

Cheers,
Andy
