HP Pavilion mx70 Monitor Power Question

On this past Saturday, we experience 2 instances of power loss
resulting from "reclosers" tripping (or so the power company tells
me). While my mx70 monitor has always come right back on when hitting
the power button on the front in the past, the first time Saturday,
nothing happened. I presumed "dead monitor" and went out and got
another one. After unhooking the mx70, I went to another plug in the
room and plugged in the monitor. It had power. I got it all hooked
back up exactly as before (same plug in power strip and so on) and
power - no problem. Then the second power outage happened and the same
result - could not turn the monitor back on. I unplugged the monitor
for 10 minutes and plugged it back in - works fine.

I have eliminated the plug in the power strip (monitor is plugged in
there now and continued to be fine), the power strip itself (other
items plugged it are fine), and a computer issue (an old low-res
monitor plugged into the computer worked fine as well).

Any suggestions as to what I am experiencing? Is there some internal
circuit breaker that will reset after some length of time?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Phil

A blown fuse inside the monitor, I'd guess. Or the power supply got roasted...

Would not either of those prevent the monitor from working at all? It
appears to be working fine now; I just had to unplug it for 10 minutes
or so and then pluf it back in and it powers right up.
