HP Pavillion dv6150 does not recognize CD/DVD

The procedure outlined here actually worked and saved my butt yesterday, with
exactly the same symptoms as you described. Did I find it by searching the
Micro$oft IgnoranceBase? N-O-O-O-O !!!
