HP scanjet 3200C problems

After not using my scanner, HP scanjet 3200C for about a year, I
reinstalled software and scanner.
The image is coming up green with lots of horiz. lines. I've tried
everything with hardware and software to correct it but still coming up the
same. \

Anyone know if the electronics, light source or anything else may be the
problem and what fix there might be.

Appreciate any techs. or similar experiences that may help.
