HP Vectra VL

Friend has an HP Vectra VL with a celeron processor.

This computer is "Locked". There is a button on the keyboard to 'lock' the
computer.
It has somehow accidently been locked. The computer will not boot up.
There is
a light on the front of the computer that is light up, there is a small lock
above the lock.
This computer was given to her. No manual.

Anyone know how to unlock this computer?

you can probably reset the lock by opening the case and switching the
little DIP-Switch to the correct position (or clearing the settings
alltogether).

Please have her find out the type of the Vectra VL as there are several
different models. There must be a sticker either anywhere on the bottom or
on the back of the case. Then get back to us.
