Just unpacked the above (factory new) monitor. It came with
a "cantilever base". Instructions call for swiveling the
"neck" of the cantilever base out of the shipping position,
and then inserting the "base" into the neck to form the
cantilever base for the monitor.
My problem is the neck does not swivel out of the shipping
position. It will move easily perhaps 5-10 degrees, but
needs to swivel about 45 degrees. I cannot locate any sort
of catch or release button to get it to move more. There is
a small rubber indentation on the back of the neck, but
pressing it does nothing - and the manual suggests this is
just a cover for a screw used in a different (wall mounted)
application.
Is this just normal stiffness, and all I need to do is apply
more force? Or is there a trick to getting it to move? Any
enlightenment appreciated.
