The only thing I can find on the HP support pages and my manual is that
the power cord is 75w. Can this notebook work off a transformer
220/110 50 cycle? And/or can the battery be recharged the same way?

Want to take it Europe.

What does the *adapter* say (assuming that notebook has an external
adapter)? Mine, f4600a/f4814a for my OmniBook 6200, says "INPUT:
100-240V ~ 1500mA 50-60Hz", which means it can work in the US (on 110V,
60Hz) and in the civilized world :-) (on 220-240V, 50Hz). If yours is
similar, you need only an adapter for the mains-plug, but you will need
that anyway for your other stuff. You can buy these mains-plug adapters
everywhere. They are normally called 'travel-adapter' or some such.

According to
http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi...=11&submit.y=3
there are 7 different AC adapters (or maybe 7 different power cords) for
this model, depending on the country.
