Hi,

I just got an HP 7110 all in one printer.

Twice now after some dozen or more hours it's just gone dead. No
lights/display on front panel; power button doesnt' work.

I pull the power plug; wait a few seconds and re plug it and then the
printer starts up again.

Power save defaults to 12 hours and I changed it to 1 hour so I can see if
power save comes on which it does but I haven't yet seen if it will go dead
after I know it's in power save.

Anybody heard of this? Is it just busted or is there some PowerSave Deep
Sleep bug?

I've actually got a return number to get it replaced at Comp USA.

I have a 7130 and have not seen what you describe. Originally it was set
to go into power save after 12 hous and did. I now have it set to power
save after 1 hour since simple printing does not use the bulb.

If its easy to swap out, get a new one.

FWIW, HP email tech support appears to be quite good and fast. You might
also try that approach.

Thanks, Harvey.

I had set it to 1 hour and it seems to be ok now. I haven't touched it for a
day or so and I probably won't use it till Sunday so I'll see how it goes.
