Hi all,

I have an HPIIIp laserjet printer that is starting to print an extra
blank page between every good page. I have switched paper brands and
grades with no result. It also stops with a paper jam error every 10
pages or so when there is no paper "jammed" in the machine.

I know that this is an old printer, but it was working well until about
a month ago and I really am hoping the fix is something simple....oh
please, please!

TIA,

Michelle

Probably the rollers that push-pull the paper thru are worn out or dried out.
Replacing the sets of rollers may fix the problem. You can also try a stopgap
repair by coating the rubber rollers with a very light film of automotive brake
fluid, using a clean cloth. That sometimes restores enough of the rubber's
adhesive properties to get a LaserJet working again.

There are also commercial rubber renewal liquids, too... Ben Myers

I had the same problem.

Go to www.fixyourownprinter.com and search for "Extra pages HP"

http://fixyourownprinter.com/printer/7/6952.html

The kit fixed my problem.

Thanks,

I ordered the kit and am very hopefull it solves my problem.

Now, any ideas on how to get rid of the toner streaks that appear
consistently on one side of a page. This has plagued me even though I
have replaced the toner cartirdige several times. Is the machine in
need of cleaning?

1st check that the printer setup is for the paper size in the printer.

i.e. if using A4 and the printer or PC printer setup is for letter
you will get an extra page feed because of the extra length of letter
size parameters.
