Tom:
Try removing the bezel and get to the display and inverter board. You
should see some ribbon connections. You might try releasing those and then
reinserting them. (By the way, if you have not dealt with this type of
repair, you should take it to a repair person to do this.) Could be a
simple fix, or could involve a solder joint that has gone cold.
