IC7-G and 2GB Ram

Anyone have any experience of whether the extra capacitive loading of 4
DIMMs will need memory timings to be slowed to a point where any thing
faster than 3 clk CAS is unnecessary (3GHz P4 800MHz FSB)?

i.e. Is there any point in using faster and more expensive RAM in this
configuration?

Thanks. It makes interesting reasoning, but unfortunately part 2 isn't out
yet so I've had to take a flier.

I've gone for 2 matched pairs of Corsair TwinX CMX512-3200LLPT.

I have install four sticks of corsair 3200LL with timing of 2-3-3-6 @ 2.7
and I am running stable for two days but I am now unable to use the Game
Accelarator on anything above auto.

I've tried every sensible combination of settings including that one, but if
I install 4 sticks, go through CMOS setup, power down and then try to power
up it just briefly pulses the fans and the red led and then stops.

I know the Corsair memory is fine because I've tried that in all
combinations and up to 3.5GHz overclock on the 3GHz CPU, and the PSU is a
400W with plenty of amps available. A number of threads seem to suggest a
general Abit problem over several different mobo types.

I'm close to giving up and moving to another manufacturer because something
is fundamentally wrong here.
