IDE Adapter 0 Master- Help!!!

Hi

Recently replaced the battery to a 20CD Legend Packard Bell and that seems to be working but when trying to boot up the computer it says that it is "Autotyping Adapter 0 Master." When I go in to setup to check out hte IDE Adapter 0 Master because it is stating- C: 0 Mb, it freezes up on me. I'm hoping someone can help me so I can get this computer running again.
