Yesterday I bought a box (SLC, 350W), MB (Intel DFI 865 PE Infinity
800mhz), processor (P4, 2.66Ghz), RAM (2x256mb PC400 Apacer), HDD (IBM
Deskstar 60gb) and GC (ATI Rage 32mb AGP) witch I installed with no
problems.

When I plug the cabel into the computer, the network lights blink and
the display starts (meaning I get juice from the wall socket).

But when I press the on button the fans (CPU-fan and chassi fan) spin
for 0.5 secs then stops. I get nothing from the display, the HDD
doesnt make a sound and nothing lights up anywhere.

I've checked that all cabels are in right places, that the graphics,
RAM, processor and fan are plugged in correctly.
I've unplugged everyting and tried starting it with just the RAM and
processor (with fan). With the same resaults as earlier.
I've placed all jumpers on default positions (and tried the "reset
CMOS"). I've also removed the battery.

All stuff I've used are new from the store.

Has anyone got a clue what's wrong? And fore most; what to do in order
to get it up and running?

With hopes of a speedy answer
//Seth from Sweden

Either the mobo's shorting the power supply or the power supply's
faulty. Either try another PSU or try that PSU on another board, then
youll know which is shot.
