In HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Wisp\Pen\SysEventParameter s on an XP Tablet
machine we have a list of variables that I'm assuming only apply to
InkCollector-class events in "tablet-aware" apps. If I'm wrong already,
please correct me; I'm not a dev and I tend to infer too much about
intricacies I don't fully understand. Anyhow, perusing this reg key, I come
across a few outstandingly-vague values:
LagTime (a hex value that on my system equates to 30)
RightMaskEnable (a filter for handedness stroke-recognition?)
Several Shake- prefixed entries (huh?!)
Splash (obviously not a splash-screen flag as it's a value of 40)
WaitTime (another hex, this time = 700 on mine)
There's even confusion stemming from the first value, "Cancel", which
corresponds (decimal) to the number ten. Cancel what in/of ten whats?
Basically, I'm just another one of those users you've probably come to hate
who browse around the registry compulsively and want to know what they're
doing. I'm unable to find any documents enumerating or making specific
reference to this key or what it controls, and I'd like to see if someone
could explain the function of each of these values and moreover under what
circumstances they are read/referenced. I tried to trace the latter with
RegMon by including the path as a filter, but all I was able to catch was
wisptis.exe opening, querying and closing all the values every time the Input
Panel was opened/closed.
Anyone able to help, or direct me or my query to someone who could, thanks
so much in advance!
