Any suggestions as to why the left <Ctrl> key on my Inspiron 5150 has
recently stopped working in combination with the following keys only:

F1, F3, F6, F8, F10, F12
Home
Tab, t, y, [, ]
b, n
AltGr, Delete

I can use the right <Ctrl> key but I'm used to using the left,
especially for <Ctrl-a> & <Ctrl-home>. It's weird being able to
navigate to the bottom of a document but not the top!

I've checked various other combinations but can't find any other
problems except that, as expected, triple-key combinations including the
above, e.g. <LCtrl-Shift-t> also fail.

Steve

Before you get a new keyboard (you still might have to), try to reseat
the keyboard ribbon cable. Look at it this way, if you need a new
keyboard, you'll still have to do this, to replace it.

Also, to eliminate a weird windows glitch, try a usb external keyboard.
