Hello,

I have an intel D975BX with the latest firmware - 1378 and it keeps crashing
within 30 minutes of being in Windows. I can have it completely idle -
running nothing or doing an install or running an app - doesn't matter
crashes no matter what it is or isn't doing.
I've disabled the onboard sound
I've disabled the parallel

I have the following equipment -

1 E6700 2.66 GHz CPU
1 Seagate ST 332062AS - 320GB HD
2 GB KVR667D2N5 - I ran memtest - it passed - 60 minutes continuous - only
crashes in Windows
1 BENQ 16V - optical drive
1 Plextor 755SA - optical drive
1 Teac floppy drive
1 XFI - sound card
1 1900XTX 512 Video card
1 Seasonic 12V 430 power supply
Nothing plugged into the USB

I've reseated the memory - even though it passed memtest
I've removed the sound card
I've unplugged the optical and floppy drives
I've replaced the video card - used a nVidia 6800
I've updated the chipset drivers
I've updated the video drivers
I've updated the network drivers

Since it runs DOS for 60 minutes with no problem, it is unlikely to be the
power supply.
The web site recommends using other memory and processor - unfortunately I
don't have $1000 worth of spare parts.

Some other things -it will not let me install the intel SATA drivers - I'm
guessing that is only if it is configured for RAID?

It shows two removable storage devices - I don't have any on my system at
the moment - any guesses?

I've run the desktop utilty - my processor was at 46 degrees C when it
crashed, the zones were at 42 degrees C - I believe the acceptable range
is 75 C

I forgot to mention it is AA D27094-305 so it is Core 2 capable.
