Intel DQ945GNT System has an early 3GHZ CPU, 500W Power Supply, 1GB RAM
been working fine.
Sudden changes occurred:
XP PRO system disk would not boot to XP but CD drive booted and ran the
restore program fine.
Used CD and RESTORED XP and it ran OK.
Next day, won't start XP, cannot reach BIOS setup and beeps 3 times
without needing to push the START PUSHBUTTON.
Display says "No Signal".
Removed all (2) 512MB DIMM memory modules.
Still beeps 3 times at startup with no memory.
Reistalled two new 1 GB DIMM modules into ch A slots 0 and 1.
Ch B slots 0 and 1 are empty.
Even with 2GB DIMM RAM, still beeps 3 times at startup.
Do 3 beeps mean memory problem?
BIOS may be set to AGRESSIVE MEMORY mode.
How can I reset BIOS to defaults?
Possibly by removing CMOS battery?
Do I pull back on the silver metal tab to remove the round CMOS battery?
3 Fans work OK.
Power supply DC voltages are:
+5v = 5.07volts
+12v = 12.24v
