Hi,

I hope somebody may provide some help on this issue. In the context of
a university project we want to establish an chip to chip ( TI DSP's )
communication using an USB connection. Chip to PC communication is not
a main development target but the possibility should be given for
later projects.

I already checked the data sheets of some USB interface chips, but all
seem to include either a complete microcontroller or an almost
complette one.

My question is: Are there any USB interface chips without an included
microcontroller ? I mean just the "USB logic" ( so to say ) which
would keep the chip much smaller ?

thx for advice
