Thanks RnR. WSZsr responded today in the Acronis TrueImage 11 thread
and said to go in and set power options back to default. I did, and
the resolution problem hasn't occurred since then.
I have been using this free (and very good) utility:
Resolution Changer SX2
http://www.stintercorp.com/rc.php
to quickly change my resolution back to 1400 x 1050 if it goes to a
lower resolution after coming out of sleep. Instead of trying to fix
the problem (because there was no easy fix from a Google search) I
used that as a workaround.
One thing I like about the utility is that if I want to, I can easily
switch to 1024 x 768 resolution in about a second. There are times
when I want larger text on my laptop, and if it's a little fuzzy
that's fine with me, it's very acceptable.
When I posted about that someone said that all I have to do is change
the text size in display properties, but it's not the same because
that setting doesn't affect everything. The utility let's me have
large text like for this response, or I can go back to 1400 x 1050 if
I want more viewable space. Those two resolutions are ideal for me.
