I'm having trouble w/ my jpg files that I save to CDRW disks. After a
matter of months I encounter corrupted files that only allow me to view
part of the image. I believe it said something about "file too short". I
can't move the file or copy it anywhere either. Is this file permanently.
lost or is there some program I can restore them w/?
I am running a old PII 450 that has 386 MB ram, Win98 SE that I added a
CD burne from Gateway to install. Is it possible that the CRW is under
matched to this old system? What can cause my files to get damaged
"after" they are wrote to my CD?

That's the nature of RW discs, they are totally unreliable and not suited
for archiving data. Suggest you move the remaining files to HD and burn to
CDR for safe keeping. you will lose it all on RW discs.
