Junk mail rule problem

I have a problem in that the junk mail rule does not work for one of my
accounts. It does not mark any mail in that account as junk. Mail
coming in to any of the other accounts is properly marked as junk,
though. Unfortunately, the account with this problem is my primary
account.

Resetting the junk mail data base, then off the junk mail filter
completely, and turning it back on will fix the problem until I start
marking mail as junk again; then the problem resurfaces.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how this problem can be fixed?

Checking all related .plist and .cfg files for permission/ownership may
be a good starting point. Deleting them may be better but you will lose
account settings. You may also want to delete accomulated Mail .log
files.

IME, Mail has a problem handling high traffic on multiple accounts.
(Hate to admit it but Entourage does it better)

Fixing permissions did not help. I'll try the log files next.

The volume isn't all that high, and lately it hasn't been as high as a
before a week or two ago.

I am going to run Disk Warrior tonight, and see if that helps.

May not help but I installed Personal Antispam from Intego on my laptop on
the weekend.

It seems to be an excellent product.

Supports both Entourage and Mail

And the damn thing can be TAUGHT what is SPAN and what is not.

In just a few days the level of SPAM in my inbox =has dropped significantly
and I have now disabled all of Entourages SPAM protection and my special
SPAN riles.

No longer needed. )
