Does anyone have any ideas if this combo will work? I'm thinking of putting two
sticks of PC150 of differing sizes (512 and 256 Corsair) and manufacturers,
would this also cause problems? The CPU would be a Duron-Morgan 1300.

Probably not a good idea unless you're extremely lucky. Two sticks of SDRAM
don't usually work on K7S5A 99%+ of the time. Mixing mfrs. even if you use
DDR RAM isn't a good idea. It's best to use DDR (at least 2100) from the
same batch if possible although using DDR variously isn't a common problem.

Mainly you need a quality power supply that's up to the job required
depending on your hardware and if using two sticks of RAM, DDR is the way to
go to avoid problems.

In your situation you may need to try various BIOSes including old ones
because of your CPU and using Win98 regardless of what you try.

If you are lucky, like me,then you may have no problem.I've used two
sticks of generic RAM of differing speeds in an ECS K7S5A with no
problems but I changed the speed to the slowest one in my case 100 mhz
and the SPD to cas 3.
Also as this is win98 you should install one stick 1st and limit the
Vcache in windows as per,
http://www.geocities.com/sheppola/easy.html
Cacheman will do this for you as there's a small bug that prevents the
Vcache from expanding >512 meg of ram.

As you are using a newer Video card you will need a good power supply.
