It was the graphics card.. I returned the "Color Pro FX 5200 128mb AGP
8x" card and got a Creative FX 5200 128mb card that supports AGP 4x (2x
and 8x as well) and it worked perfectly.
Apparently this cheap brand card ("Color Pro") was either defected or
just doesn't support agp 8x. Thanks for the tips tough

!
I would recommend anyone buying a cheapo card to stay away from these
Color Pro cards and pay a little extra to get a -good- cheap card.
