:-)

So what exactly is the IRQ sharing on the K7S5A Pro? I found this info about
the non-Pro K7S5A:
- PCI 1 shares with AGP
- PCI 2 shares with PCI 5
- PCI 3 shares with audio
- PCI 4 shares with USB
but then I also read that on the Pro version PCI 1 shares with USB2, so
clearly the sharing has been changed; anyone have any clear info on this ?

Marc.

:-)

After moving my modem around the PCI slots, I noticed that:
- as the manual says, PCI#1 doesn't work when USB is enabled in the BIOS; however, I disbled USB and it still didn't work... well, never mind :-)
- PCI#2 shares with PCI#5, AGP and one of the Via USB channels
- PCI#3 shares with onboard audio and one of the Via USB channels
- PCI#4 shares with one of the the SiS USB channels

I was wondering, which of the USB controllers (SiS or Via) is the USB1.1, and which is the USB2.0 ? The manual is quite unclear about this.

Marc.

I think Via is USB 2.0

PCI1 and USB2 do not technically share - its either one or the other. You
have to switch USB2 off in the BIOS to use PCI1
