I just hosed the bios in my K7VZA, and rather than spend the $25.00 to
have badflash fix it, I ordered a k7s5a Pro.
In the interim, I am now using a spare k7AMA. It refuses to boot at
133FSB. I get just past the Windows XP bootscreen, then it reboots.
I setup a K7s5a Pro for my brother early last year, and after a bit of
difficulty, was able to get 133/133. I gave him the memory out of my
old k7AMA, which at the time WAS booting at 133, so I am wondering if my
new RAM is suspect. It's Mitsubishi SDRAM, which worked very well with
the k7vza. If the RAM is indeed suspect, is there a way in which I can
set the k7s5a to boot 133 FSB and 100 RAM? I guess I'll find out
Tuesday, but I wondering if anyone knows if 133/100 is an option.
Thank you,
CF
