K7S5A Pro, ver. 5 drivers question

I'm debugging some problems and need some help. First, the ECS web site
doesn't list this MB. Which one is it?

Second, the driver CD (marked "Soyo Motherboard") does nothing except
show the GUI when the setup file is clicked. Is this the correct CD?

What multimedia driver do I get (see 1st problem) for this MB?

COMMENT: I have sent three notes to ECS support and left one phone
message, and so far nothing. So, my opinion is to n e v e r use ECS
parts again! Life is too short for this crap.

Thanks,
Dave

"SOYO motherboard" sounds like the wrong driver CD for your board
with is made by Elite Computer Systems (ECS)

ECS K7S5A Pro Version 5.0 board uses SIS chipset
The newer version 8.0 uses the VIA chip et

(unofficial K7S5A motherboard forum)

Multimedia driver ?
If your using the built in motherboard sound, make sure it is enabled in the
bios.
Any "Multimedia" video drivers would come with your graphics card.

Are you sure about this? I have not heard of a VIA chipset equipped K7S5A
Pro.

Tod & Mr. Snow,
Thanks for the append, but what I think I really need is help
finding the ECS part number for the MB. On their web site (
http://www.ecsusa.com/downloads/drivers.html ) for drivers they have the
following models of the K7 series: K7S5A, K7S5A+, K7S5A2. No "Pro". So
which one is it? ECS won't tell me, so I need a definite answer.
The problem is with the multimedia driver (as listed in the
hardware list in Windows). What we are actually talking about is the
sound as far as I know.

Kyle,
Thanks for the information. The only problem now is which sound
driver as I don't know how to tell which sound chip is on the MB. Does
ECS have a probe program that will tell me which chip set I have for all
of the peripherial devices? I looked (quickly) and didn't find one.
Just keeps on getting deeper! I do appreciate your help though.
