Hi,

I've got 3 dual-CPU Kayak's and like them (those are my first dual-CPU
PCs ever and I run OpenBSD on them). However from the one of them
I had to remove the fan and the speaker at the very bottom (facing
front).

Now the small BW LCD-display which should normally show a smiley,
shows the warning about a failed I/O fan and a nearby red light is
blinking.

Is there a way to switch this warning off, as I don't really need that
fan?

I've found nothing in the PhoenixBIOS (which I've up'ed to HU 11.11 US)

Thank you
Alex

Hello,

there just is no way. Instead of fiddling around with an error message
that appears for a reason, rather replace the fan.

Nope. The fan was there for a reason which besides cooling the
PCI/ISA/AGP cards is cooling the chipset and the IDE controller. You say
you like the machines, so if you like them enough that you want to have
them running also in a few years just replace the fan...

Ok, thanks. I've put that fan back and realized that it wasn't broken
(that was the reason I had removed it) - it just starts after a delay...
