Oh good deal Ted!
Oh yeah... that dang panning.sys file in the config.sys file. Some
software when you install will modify this file (among other files). So
maybe that is what has happened. I think that panning.sys file is only
useful for DOS programs anyway (although I can't swear to it). Anyway I
am so glad you got things working once again. And you have updated us.
