I am running XP on 160gb SATA 1 harddrive (using Promise installation floppy.)
I now want to add a second SATA drive (Excel Stor 250gb) to the PC. for trying out Windows 7. This is a SATA 2 device. This is recognised in the promise but has not been made available to the system.I have a Prog. from the drive website to change from 300 to 150 but cannot activate this as the drive has not been seen by the system !
Anty ideas please
