I just bought a 64 GB Hitachi hard drive to replace the Western
Digital piece of junk that recently crashed but the information on the
drive itself is pretty scarce. Does anyone happen to know how many
cylinders, sectors, and other pertinent data for this drive so I can
feed it into my motherboard's setup app; so far I've been letting the
system set itself, but I don't know if that's as good as having the
operating perammeters at hand.

Forget about these parameters. They are irrelevant today. Use
the standard LBA mode.

Incidentially, you should look into the datasheet/manual of a
drive _before_ buying it.
