LPT3 should be LPT2

Hi,
after installing XP on my computer it assigned LPT3 as my second
printerport. I would like it to be LPT2.... how can I change this

You should be able to change that in your BIOS menu. BIOS's are
different from system to system, so you'd have to look around.
