Thanks for the reply. It just happened again--once again, when the computer was unplugged, after it had been working fine when it was plugged in for hours. Earlier today, Apple tech support had me reset the SMC and PRAM, but apparently that didn't do the trick. Anyway, here's the system.log info you mentioned--sorry if this is too much to look at. The shutdown happened at 9:23. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! After the last automatic shutdown, the computer now says "Battery Is Not Charging," though the light on the magsafe connector is green. Outside of that (for now), it still works when it's plugged in. I'll have to bring it to Apple, which is a bummer since I'm far from a store. Thanks for the help, ez |
