If there was a QVL for memory, you'd find it on the motherboard product
page. Or in the downloadable user manual.
The Asus product page appears to be inoperative AGAIN. And there is nothing
in the manual.
There is a list here (scroll down). Good luck finding any of these. The
English version of this page cannot be archived, due to norobots exclusion.

Your 2600+ 1.91GHz has a clock of 166Mhz. If the bus is operated 1:1,
then your RAM speed would be DDR333. You could use PC3200 RAM or
PC2700 RAM, to meet that requirement.
If you are planning on buying 1GB modules, don't buy them from Ebay.
You want branded RAM that uses (16) 64Mx8 chips for that. I don't
believe the Nforce2 can properly address 128Mx4 chips, and it is possible
you'd only see half the capacity with those. You could get some Kingston
or Crucial 1GB modules, and those should work.

This is what I use in my Nforce2 board. Two of these 512MB CAS2 sticks.

This is the Kingston page. Don't let the "333MHz" limit fool you - you
can use DDR400 if you want, as it is backward compatible and runs at
DDR400, DDR333, DDR266, DDR200.
