modem configuration problem (dialing rule)

hello guys

i just moved to asia with my laptop whicj i brought in UK and now my
modem is not working at all coz appearently it is configured by
default to do tone dialing and here it is dealing with the pulse one.
It is not helping to do it fron the option. Please suggest any other
way to do it.

Please do help me ASAP regarding the changes in the configuration if
it is possible.

If the software offers the option to pulse dial you should have found
it by now. If it doesnt, it wont do it. Hopefully there may be another
driver for it that includes pulse dial function.

There is a bodge around that'll enable you to use it until its fixed.
Pick phone receiver up and dial the number manually on the phone, then
tell modem to connect. Set it to not check for dial tone. Once the
modem is trying to connect you can replace the phone receiver. A pulse
dial only phone system will treat the tone dialling as audio and
ignore it. Crude but works.
