Monitor cloning

As you can see from the list below, I have an MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 VTD128
(oc'd to 320MHz/601MHz), and I have a standard 17" CRT monitor connected to
the VGA connector and a TV connected to the s-video output. I can have my
desktop extend over both monitors, but cannot figure out how to get my TV to
be a clone of the VGA monitor.

I am running the NVIDIA Display Driver for Windows 2000/XP version 43.45,
03/20/2003.

Thanx,

BigFNDeal

That all depends on the software that comes with your video card. Check the
documentation. Also, why are you cross posting to so many NGs???????

What is the big deal with posting to different groups? The more people I can
present the ? to, the more likely I can get an accurate and thoughtful
answer. Which, btw, "read the manual" doesn't qualify as. I am not a retard.
I have red the manual, and it's not very clear or detailed on the topic,
which why I posted it.

Because newsgroups have names for a reason and there's nothing about your
display question that relates in any way to 'AMD' or overclocking, or Asus for
that matter.

You'd have better luck in a news group whose clientele go there for similar
reasons, like a geforce group, or MSI (since they made the card), or some other
related subject.

I would suggest rec.video.desktop as a pertinent ng to post this to.

The big deal is that cross-posting wastes everybody's time in having to
download and browse through headers of posts to find the ones which are
relevant to the newsgroup. If everyone did what you did, most people
wouldn't bother using the newsgroup.

Furthermore, I downloaded the manual for your video card. What a surprise
to find the info. you're looking for on page 94 ( in Chapter 4 ).

Before you post questions in the newsgroup, please have the courtesy to make
an effort to find the info. on your own. If noone read the manuals of the
products they purchased, then each newsgroup would get 10s of 1000s of
postings each and every day..... how are people gonna be able to help you
then?

You mean as if he knew which group the original poster, or you, does his reading in?

No, I mean trimming "away the non-relevent bit's if he's so concerned about
proper posting or download times".

Where your supposed quote comes from I have no idea but his point in this thread
was, if everyone posted just anything everywhere, having to sift through tons of
headers to find the topics of interest; not message download times or snipping.

Appropriate message 'trimming' is a good idea but it doesn't follow as a 'then'
from his point.
