Danielle,
If you have either a serial mouse, or if your present mouse can be used with
an adapter on the serial port, give that option a try.
Windows will, to best of my recollection, automatically look for a mouse on
the serial port and use it if it finds one.
If the mouse still won't work, you can access the Display Properties (at
least under Windows 2000) using the keyboard.
Go to the Start Menu. (use either the Windows key on the keyboard or press
Ctrl + Esc).
Using the arrow keys move to the Settings option.
Press Enter.
Arrow over to the Control Panel item and press Enter.
Use the arrow keys or the tab key to select Display Properties in the
window.
Press Enter.
You can use the keyboard to modify all the settings to switch back to the
basic VGA driver.
