My bios Q

HP Pavilion 4410, AMD K6-2 350. Cannot run two drives on same cable (pri-sec)
Drives appear booting from powermax disk. Checked for a bios upgrade (Phoenix
, upgrade from HP) On install get message "new DMI string is too large"
Any clues?
Posted this earlier and it got aload of old posts stuck on top of it??

- Double check the jumpering on the hard drives...?
- HP's have remnants of the old propietory hardware era, perhaps the
issue lies there. (I hate prefabs, but I digress).
- Maybe reconfiguring IRQ/DMA routing for hard-drives in BIOS and/or
Windows system manager would work. I got around alot of hardware
issues that way back in the time that system is from.
