My problem with P4C800-e bios update

I made a bootable system disk in windows xp, copied afudos version 2.11
uncompressed to that floppy along with the bios update p4ced19.rom
uncompressed to the same floppy.

At the a prompt I typed afudos /p4ced19.rom

i get the following

Usage : afudos /i<ROM filename> (/0(save ROM filename>)

then back to a:\>

You didn't enter the correct command to flash the BIO's. Here are some notes
I have on flashing the BIO's.
ASUS AFUDOS Command to flash P4C800 Deluxe Bio's from DOS Prompt:



afudos.exe/i<ROM filename> [/o<save ROM filename>] [/n] [/p[b][n][c]]



/i<ROM filename> load (I = in)
/o<ROM filename> save (o = out)


/n - Don't check ROM ID



/pbnc =

p - Program
b - Program Boot Block
n - Program NVRAM
c - Destroy System CMOS



Sample:

A:\>afudos.exe/iP4C800.rom /n /pbnc

OK, typed bad parameters

Now it shows bios 1019

But upon bootup also says CMOS checksum bad

Press f1 for setup or
F2 to load defaults

Now the checksume bad error disappeared after a few reboots except fort one
error saying overclocking failed.

Without having saved the ole original bios 1014, is there a way to go back
in time, sort of a system restore for a bios?

After flashing to a new bios core, you need to clear the CMOS of old
settings that may still be resident (and now addressing the bios core
incorrectly due to offsets). Pressing F2 may resolve that, but if
not, you may need to power down, disconnect the AC cord, and move the
jumper temporarily from pins 1 and 2 of the CLRTC jumper to short pins
2 and 3 for several seconds. Pages 2-19 and 2-20 of the manual
explain this procedure.

I just posted VERY detailed steps to updating your bios and my post
seems to have been lost in the Internet never never land, so here goes
a short version again:

I have same board, works great.

Use the built in bios updater called *Asus EZ Flash* (no need for a
boot disk, this is very easy) Check page 4-3 of manual if you want
more info.

Here is how it goes:

Rename bios downloaded from Asus to: P4C800ED.ROM and place this
file in the root directory of either a floppy (does not have to be
bootable) or a cd.

Now reboot system and during POST test (power on test) simply press
<Alt> + <F2> and the bios will begin looking for the bios file on the
floppy. If not found bios will look on the cd drive if setting in bios
allows it (if set). When file is found bios update will start and
complete and system will reboot with new bios update.

DO NOT interupt the bios update process or you may have boot failure on
next boot.

If all else fails just boot from the MB cd (original) and the bios will
update to one that your system was shipped with.

I'm running bios v1019 and it seem to be stable.

isn't the correct syntax: A:\>afudos /ip4ced19.rom

i.e.--didn't you leave out the "i" in front of p4ced.19.rom??
